hi, welcome home
I am currently working on a Dear Jane quilt. It's a replica of an antique
quilt made by Jane A. Stickle during the American Civil War. Jane created
an extraordinary sampler of 225 patterns and 5,602 pieces.
I love historical quilts and was immediately addicted when I bought
Brenda Manges Papadakis's book entitled "Dear Jane - The Two-Hundred Twenty-Five
Patterns from the 1863 Jane A. Stickle Quilt". |

I made my first block on October 27, 1998 and joined the
Dear Jane mailing list shortly thereafter. I am using a large variety of
reproduction prints to give the same appearance as the original quilt.
My background fabric is an antique white solid. All my blocks are hand
pieced and hand appliquéd.
In November 2000, I attended a Dear Jane retreat in Shipshewana, Indiana,
where I met a buch of delightful ladies who share the same passion and
enthusiasm for the Dear Jane Quilt.

Please visit the Dear
Jane website. Here you'll find a picture of Jane's original quilt,
great tips to help you get started with your Baby Jane blocks and information
regarding the Dear Jane mailing list.
I hope you enjoy looking at my DJ work.
